DIGITAL; We've scoured the digital and satellite channels to pick five unmissable shows.(Features)

what? Egypt's Warrior King when? More4, tonight, 10pm There seems to be something about Egyptian history that we just can't seem to get enough of.

Whether it's the fact that people didn't wear very many clothes, or that they worshipped cats and got buried in rather lavish style, it's a culture that has really got under the skin of the Western world.

1 Pick a channel, and chances are you'll find a programme about some ancient Egyptian mystery in the schedules somewhere.

But this is one of the better offerings.

Thutmosis III was ancient Egypt's greatest warrior king.

A courageous commander and master tactician, he remained undefeated in battle, and is known to Egyptologists as the 'Napoleon of Egypt'.

But how did he conquer so many of his enemies and bring Egyptian imperialism to its zenith? what? Live on Air - Elbow when? Sky Atlantic, tomorrow, 8pm They may not generate as many headlines as the pop princes and princesses, but in terms of musical brilliance, Elbow are pushing U2 close for the title of the biggest and best band in the world.

The word 'genius' is definitely over-used, but Guy Garvey, below, and the group show more flashes of it than most musicians.

2 In this intimate special, Mercury winners Elbow discuss their new album and current tour, and perform hits including One Day Like This, Neat Little Rows and Lippy Kids.

If you take your music seriously, you really do not want to be anywhere else. This is a masterclass in musicianship and live performance, and proves beyond any doubt that Elbow will be a band that makes magic for decades to come.

what? Kill It, Cut It, Use It when? BBC Three, Monday, 9pm As a co-presenter of Countryfile, you'd think that Julia Bradbury, above, would know a lot about the farming process, but it turns out that this new series was an eye-opener even for her.

The programme looks at how parts of animals that don't end up on our barbeques or in our Sunday roasts can be put to other uses, and you may be surprised just how many everyday objects can contain animal products.

3 Julia says: "In everything from beer, shampoo and soap powder to your car, bits of your kitchen and books, there is part of an animal that has been utilised."

In the opening edition, she's focusing on cows. And, in what might be a slightly alarming turn of events for vegans and vegetarians, it transpires that just while there may be no beef on your plate, the crockery itself might not be entirely bovine free.

what? America's Got Talent when? ITV2, Tuesday, 9pm Now that we've found our own country's supposedly most talented act, there's a rather large Simon Cowell-shaped hole in our hearts. Not to worry, though; America's finest eccentrics are now set to don our screens in the latest 'Talent' series from across the pond.

4 When we last saw them, judges Howie Mandel, Piers Morgan, below, and Sharon Osbourne cheered on singer Kevin Skinner as he went on to win $1mi and the chance to perform in a headline show at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas.

They're refreshed since then, ready for a brand new competition and ready to sift through the singing monkeys, disappearing rabbits and cringe-worthy grannies to get to the cream of the crop and crown another seriously talented performer.

what? Fringe when Sky1, Wednesday, 10pm Anna Torv has had a rapid rise to success in recent years, graduating from BBC drama Mistresses to this, one of the biggest cult shows of recent years.

5 What does she think is the secret of Fringe's success? "I don't know. I think we have some awesome fans, and without them we wouldn't be on the air," she laughs. "We're living in a different age at the moment and with the internet everything is so instantaneous. I know that our show's runners are very keen and very active listeners to what our audiences are saying and I think that, along with some great writers, and I have some fantastic co-stars, makes for a great show." In the last of the current series, Peter confronts his destiny as he pursues a solution to the crisis that threatens to negate the existence of everyone, and a member of the team meets an untimely death.
