SOAP TALK.(Features)

Byline: ROZ LAWS

EASTENDERS SECONDS out, round one! You have to be good with your fists if you live in Walford - or at least hold your own with verbal sparring.

BY ROZ Michael and Jack are hoping people take out their violence in their gym. But a boxing ring is hardly the most romantic location for a candlelit dinner....for six!

Michael and Roxy, who are now officially an item, organise the event in a bid to get Kat and Alfie back together. Michael manages to get them sitting down together, even though Alfie was about to leave the Square.

The atmosphere is tense but soon Kat and Alfie are sparring like old times - and then share a kiss. Hurray!

Things aren't looking so good for Ronnie, though, who runs off. When Michael finds her later, he asks her why she has such a problem with him - and she says he can never know the reason why. Which, of course, only makes him more intrigued.

Elsewhere this week, Kat visits Stacey's mum Jean at the psychiatric unit and finds her much better. In fact, the tables are turned, with Jean comforting Kat, who then asks her to come and live at the Vic.

PRINCE: introduces King's Plus, Dot loses her footing on the stairs, falls head first and knocks herself out. Carol finds her with a broken arm but worries about whether she can cope.

Fatboy's father comes to see him, Tanya sets up a salon in her front room, and Heather decides to give internet dating a go.

CORONATION STREET * BECKY and Steve are one of the best couples in soap, so I hope they don't go through with their latest plan to leave the Street.

Steve is furious when he discovers Jim and Liz's mission to take over the Rovers - but his wife is much keener to take the money and run. She stuns her hubby by suggesting they sell up and flee Weather-field, taking Max and Amy with them. She thinks it's the only way out, because they can't get Amy back without losing Max.

Steve thinks it's a mad idea, until he has a run-in with Kylie. Then he tells Jim the pub is his, as long as he's got the cash. But there's the little matter of getting hold of Amy's passport to overcome first.

Also, Tommy Duckworth turns up looking for his grandfather Jack, unaware he's dead. He's played by a familiar face - Chris Fountain, of Hollyoaks and Dancing On Ice.

Tommy - son of Terry and Lisa - was last seen in 2000, but now looks like he's going to stick around for a while as he moves in SOAP TALK LAWS with Tyrone. He's got an eye for the ladies, but won't have much luck chatting up Sophie and Sian. Tina, though, is a better prospect, as she's so jealous of all the time Graham is spending with Xin.

EMMERDALE * JIMMY waited years to become a dad...then two kids come along at once!

Though he only knew he'd fathered Angelica with Nicola. Now he learns that ex-fiance Kelly has a cute little boy called Elliot.

She turns up in the village and introduces a stunned Jimmy to his son. And she has the paternity test results to prove it. But can he believe her when she says he was planning to leave Nicola for her? Plus, hard-up Alicia steals from her sister's shop to buy Jacob a decent birthday present. Chas agrees to go into partnership running the pub with Diane, and Marlon buys half of Mothercare as he prepares a nursery for his unborn child's arrival.

Kelly HOME & AWAY Jimmy so* AND we thought Ruby's heart lay only with Romeo. Apparently not, as this week she is caught (by her mum, embarrassingly) in a very compromising position with Casey.

Elijah and Grace try to come to terms with Thabo's worsening condition, which prompts a crisis of faith for Elijah.

HOLLYOAKS * GILLY goes on trial for rape, and it's a jury made up of viewers who will decide his fate after watching the trial. He says Jacqui consented but she said she said no.

Some surprise witnesses are called as the defence rakes up Jacqui's colourful past, so it's going to be difficult to reach a verdict.

NEIGHBOURS * WHEN Paul hands Rebecca the affadavit letting her off for trying to murder him, she hands him her wedding ring and tells him it's over. His grief quickly turns to anger when he sees her with Michael, though. And Tash holds on to her man by starting a rumour about Summer and Zeke.

DOCTORS * IT'S only fitting that veteran actor Leonard Fenton, forever known as EastEnder Dr Legg, should guest star in Doctors. He plays a pensioner who takes on Mrs Tembe over a cake. Fool!
