MELBOURNE, Jan 18 AAP - Four people died and six others were injured after two carcrashes on Victorian roads overnight.

In one accident, horses straying onto the road have been blamed for a three-car pileupwhich killed two people and left five others injured.

Rural Ambulance Service spokesman John Mullen said two horses strayed onto the BassHighway, about 5km north of Bass shortly before midnight.
